Belstone’s first team became Herts County Senior League Premier Division Champions for the second time in 3 years, with a 2-1 midweek win over Oracle FC. However, this time the Championship win means so much more. For a number of years now the Radlett based team have tried to make the move up the pyramid from Step 7 to Step 6 but have always been held back by its facilities. But this season its different. A massive amount of work has gone into bringing The Medburn Ground, the clubs home since the mid 90’s up to the required standard and at last the team sees its efforts on the pitch rewarded with a move up to the Combined Counties League Division 1. This year it’s the Clubs 40th anniversary having started back in 1983/84 in the 3rd Division of the Harrow Sunday Challenge League, converting to Saturday football in 2009 and now the step up seems a fitting way to celebrate.
